Introducing Fernando Jorge’s exclusive collection for Sotheby’s, unveiled during Marquee Sales of Modern and Contemporary Art Week in New York City
For the 16-piece collection, Fernando revisited ideas defining his aesthetic over the past decade. Jorge combined materials from different parts of the world and various layers of the earth. The pieces required an elevated technical complexity, using materials not commonly found in jewellery. For this High Series, Fernando has reintroduced colour, softness and playfulness in his design.
The partnership with Sotheby’s has been in development for more than two years and marks the first time the house will travel the work of a contemporary jeweller across its network of galleries.
